Christmas tree

It's time to prepare your Christmas tree! You are starting to breathe the cold and magic air that comes before all the glitter and the color of December! As a real passionate person I've already made my tree and filled my house with all the wonderful ornaments gathered during the years!

And you, have you ever wondered what kind of tree you belong to?  Because you don't have to give in to the temptation of classic style, you can also choose a “design” Christmas!

The Christmas tree has a very old story, bound to different cultures and traditions. It was sometimes colored and set on fire during a wonderful pagan ceremony, or it was decorated with fruits and  propitiatory candies  to help young people to find their twin soul, while Christians adorn it with gifts and angels!

But the nicest story about the Christmas tree comes from a faraway country village in the distant  Lapland.
A kid had gone into the forest near his home to gather some pinewood, to burn it in the fireplace on  Christmas night. It started to snow and the kid got lost, so he decided to crouch under a big fir to protect himself from cold. The next morning all the village inhabitants left to look for the missing kid, and when they got close to the big tree they couldn't believe their eyes: the snow fallen during the night had turned into infinite cryistals in the shape of festoons and  decorations shining in the sun!
The most beautiful sight ever seen, and ever since, to remember that night, everyone prepares a glittering tree in every home, so that nobody might get lost anymore!

Before choosing your own style, you'd better  go round the world to look for the loveliest trees: of course you start from the  most famous!

the one at the Rockfeller Center in New York

Beijing fiber optics tree

The tree in  piazza del Duomo, Milan

The floating tree in  Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The golden tree from the Japanese jeweller's shop “Tanaka Kikinzoku “ in Tokyo, worth 150 million yen!

After watching all these suggestions from all over the world, did you realize what tree you belong to?
Let's start from those who are fond of minimal design: trees easy to assemble, decorative, eco-friendly, in every size !

You can find a large selection on the website:

You have no room in your house? What about a beautiful wall tree?

If you don't feel like decorating it yourself, there are also home stickers of course!!!

An artistic tree? If you can't afford to buy wonderful works like this by Mercedes Rodriguez,

you can try with pieces of wood, branches and iron wire to realize real marvels!

Are you very greedy? Don't you have enough with all the Christmas sweets? Then definitely point to a chocolate tree!!!!!

For the lovers of glass, they can aim at this wonderful piece made in Murano!

As for me, I love the most traditional trees, enriched with hundreds of balls and ornaments found year after year! There are plenty of stores and sites where you can live  100 %  Christmas  spirit with a lot of suggestions, without  renouncing your own style!

A few examples
Punk style

Classic style

Gold style

Did I convince you to prepare your own tree? I'm sure I'll convince you to decorate your home in my next post!

Stay tuned!!!
